Islamic Literacy Certification Program (ILCP) – Level 1
About Course
The Islamic Literacy Certification Program (ILCP) – Level 1 is a structured foundational program designed to help Muslims develop a clear, authentic, and practical understanding of Islam based on the internationally recognized text What A Muslim Must Know prepared by the Scientific Committee under the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
In an age of confusion, misinformation, and superficial learning, ILCP provides a systematic introduction to the essential knowledge every Muslim should know regarding faith, worship, purification, daily practice, sincerity, and Muslim character. The program focuses on building strong Islamic foundations rooted in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah while presenting the teachings in a clear and accessible manner for contemporary learners.
Participants will study core topics including Tawhīd (Islamic monotheism), the pillars of Islam and Imān, purification, prayer-related fundamentals, sincerity in worship, understanding shirk and kufr, and the principles of Ahl-us-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah. The course combines academic learning with practical religious literacy to help learners strengthen both understanding and practice.
ILCP Level 1 is suitable for students, professionals, reverts, community learners, and anyone seeking a structured beginning in Islamic studies without requiring prior formal education in the subject.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive the Islamic Literacy Certification Program (ILCP) – Level 1 Certificate from Suffah Institute.
